Description
Description | Under the lead of the Federal Employment Agency Germany and together with the EURES NCOs of the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain as associate partners, the submitted project intends to promote labour mobility within the EU. It specifically aims at responding to the ever-increasing labour and skills shortages and hard-to-fill vacancies that many SMEs face today, thereby focusing on sectors particularly relevant to implement the twin transitions. To promote intra-EU labour mobility, the project offers tailor made pre- and post-placement counselling services to both employers and job seekers, combined with targeted financial support to lift various mobility obstacles. This includes allowances for language courses, recognition of professional qualifications, travelling to a job interview/shadowing and (family) relocation. To reach its specific objectives, the project takes 3 distinct approaches: promoting re- and upskilling, recruiting from hidden talent pools (NEETS, people with disabilities, …) and matching the surpluses and shortages identified within the consortium. Re- and upskilling is promoted through a new training programme, which offers SMEs dedicated EURES (referral) counselling provided by EURES organizations from the countries where the SMEs are based. The counselling is combined with financial incentives to promote investments in the training of candidates, thereby addressing the increasing gap between skills demand and supply. The counselling for SMEs in Germany will be provided by the education experts, German EURES members and co-applicants Tibor and BBZ. The recruiting from hidden talent pools will be promoted by co-applicant CHEOPS, a French EURES member dedicated to the counselling and placement of job-seekers with disabilities. Finally, a strong and diverse portfolio of country-specific sub-projects based on detailed contextual knowledge will allow the matching of surpluses with shortages identified within the Network. |
