Your Spotted Skin

ongoing

The production companies Studio FILM BILDER (Stuttgart), SOMETHING BIG (Lille), MINYA FILM & ANIMATION (Zagreb) and RAUMKAPSEL Animation (Kassel) are currently collaborating on a feature film project entitled YOUR SPOTTED SKIN, a black comedy aimed at an adult audience about a cow who falls in love with a lion. The script, written by German author Daniel Nocke, will be developed in collaboration with French and Croatian script consultants. The ambitious production pipeline with performance capture and advanced CGI technology requires careful preparation. The German team will build the technical foundation and research on AI support, whilst French and Croatian artists will design 36 characters as well as around 20 moods and 20 sets. A team of storyboarders from all three partner countries will collaborate on an innovative 3D animatic. The resulting initial version of the 90-minute film - at this stage still without animation - will form an ideal preparatory basis for the subsequent production. Parallel to the creative development, the structure of the co-production will be established, the marketing initiated, and the financing secured. The funding will be shared between four producers from three different EU countries who are collaborating on this project. A team of around 20 administrative staff, artists and technicians will be involved in the development process.
