Youth and Refugee Integration Centre in Rabka-Zdrój

We plan to establish a Youth & Refugee Integration Centre in Rabka-Zdrój in the building given by the municipality of the town with help of international volunteers in order to build international, cross-European solidarity and understanding. The Centre will be aimed at building social cohesion, promoting solidarity between all inhabitants of the town in the European context, with a special focus on young people in age of 13-18 and children, who are a majority of refugees coming to the town. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of our cultures, preserve and raise awareness of interculturality of Europe, as well as make refugees feel comfortable in the town and European Union. Our objectives are: - to prepare, renovate and customize a venue dedicated by the municipality of Rabka-Zdrój for Youth and Refugee Integration Centre, - to engage international volunteers, inhabitants and Ukrainian refugees to direct contact through social, cultural and educational activities, through which all will benefit with social, civic and cultural competences, sense of belonging to the community of Europe, and raised awareness of European identity, - to develop a model of functioning of the Centre (joining the function of a donations storage and distribution centre with a social hub for all inhabitants of Rabka, especially young people) consisting of regular activities and model of co-management between NGOs, municipalities and volunteers.
