FEDEC – European Federation of Professional Circus Schools - is a network of 74 members located in 29 countries in Europe and beyond. Founded in 1998 at the instigation of the 1st vocational circus arts schools, FEDEC is committed to supporting the development and evolution of training, teaching & creation in the field of circus arts. You(th) Are Not Alone (YANA) is FEDEC’s network project for 2022. The pandemic times have taught us that beyond the fragility of our ecosystems, there is much to learn from each other and pass on to new generations and that digital tools & methodologies can be powerful to boost circus education. Youth and safety are therefore at the core of FEDEC activities. It has become urgent to guarantee safer learning environments for all and to support schools to be more inclusive, as well as to preserve mental & physical health for a sustainable network. In 2022, enhancing the quality of Circus Education in an evolving society becoming intrinsically digital, will be made possible thanks the following objectives: - Strengthening the network by reinforcing the organization at different levels (team, Managing Board, members); - Setting-up professional learning schemes to promote excellence, innovation & inclusion; - Creating tailor-made events for professional development & employability, thanks to lifelong partnerships with/for the sector; - Widening the impact of FEDEC activities & contribute to the development of the E&T sector. Through 23 tasks and 15 deliverables, FEDEC's ambition is to accompany circus education in all its layers (students, teachers, staff, directors, etc.), to be the privileged interlocutor of an enlarged & evolving network, and to always better support its members across the world.
