Description
Description | "The project “Youth Employment in Solidarity - Mixing Experiences and Diversity” (YES-MED) aims to strengthen the socio-economic integration of young people aged 18-35 in six Mediterranean countries (Italy, France, Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon) by equipping them with the skills and opportunities needed to promote and be active in the social and solidarity economy (SSE). The project will engage 120 young multipliers in the ""Youth Mediterranean Empowerment Path"" (WP3), a training programme jointly designed by the project partners and reflecting their expertise in SSE, youth work and entrepreneurship. The training will help to develop their digital, environmental and entrepreneurial skills, and enable them to improve their employability in a socially responsible key. The focus of the training will be on SSE models, and how those can help develop sustainable practices among youth in the Mediterranean area. It features modules on SSE, international cooperation, digital skills, eco-conscious practices, project cycle management, business model development, and financial literacy. Participants will then translate the knowledge they have acquired to the implementation of pilot actions (WP4), organising local, national, or international initiatives designed by and for young people. This proactive approach will enable them to utilise their skills for positive change, creating a multiplier effect for sustainable impact in their communities. Additionally, 24 participants will take part in the “Transnational Youth Mobility Scheme” (WP5), that will strengthen connections between youth workers, SSE enterprises and civil society organisations in the Mediterranean. This immersive experience will foster connections within a diverse professional community, facilitating the exchange of perspectives and experiences, and ultimately leading to the establishment of a robust international network." |
