Description
Description | Enhancing the abilities of youth workers who assist young migrants in integrating both personally and professionally into host communities is the goal of the MIGRACT (Youth Migrants in Action). The project will upskill youth educators between the EU and south mediterranean countries with tools and strategies to facilitate the integration process of young migrants both professionally and personally, through the promotion of resilience-based approaches. The initiative will addresses labor market barriers and mental health challenges that young migrants experience as a consequence of the growing number of environmental and conflict-driven migrations that are interesting the EU and south mediterranean countries. Through the creation of educational outputs and training activities, MIGRACT will contribute to the development of a new generation of educators concretely able to support young migrants in their job seeking, competences recognition and psychological needs. Obj.1: Training youth workers in Non-Formal Education (NFE) methodologies in order to help young migrants developing their skills and find employment. Obj. 2. Ensuring better mental and psychological support for migrants, improving professional capabilities of young educators employed in care institutions and migration centers. Obj.3 Increasing employability and well-being through the empowerment of young migrants using self-promotion techniques and labor market integration strategies. Key Activities: Building Youth Workers' Capacity: Instruction in CV writing, public speaking, and digital storytelling to enhance migrant workers' career opportunities and competences recognition. The creation of educational materials, including a training manual and interactive toolkit to provide young educators creative ways to help migrants. The workshops and piloting programs are local training sessions for migrants that emphasize resilience-building, psychological support, and job placement skills. |
