Description
Description | Youth on a Mission 2.0 is a project designed to support the social inclusion and education of young Ukrainian refugees in Timișoara, Romania. Building on the success of similar projects run by FITT, the project continues to engage international, Ukrainian, and Romanian volunteers in solidarity activities that foster learning, integration, and cultural exchange. Through team-based volunteering, 80 young people will organize and implement educational workshops, intercultural events, participatory arts activities, and psychosocial support initiatives for Ukrainian youth, particularly those attending the Ukrainian Educational Hub in Timișoara. The project focuses on non-formal education to enhance skills development, social connections, and overall well-being, while also promoting solidarity and active youth participation. The project directly contributes to fostering positive learning experiences for young people with fewer opportunities, promoting social inclusion among displaced youth and local communities, developing key competencies for volunteers through meaningful community engagement, and strengthening cooperation among three youth organizations. Volunteers will work in structured 8-week cycles, with dedicated training, mentoring, and reflection to maximize learning outcomes. In addition to the volunteering activities, the project includes awareness campaigns, community events, and digital storytelling to ensure broader impact and sustainability. |
