Description

Description

Youth on Board (YOB) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organization based in Shtip, North Macedonia, actively working to empower young people through cultural, educational, social, and advocacy initiatives. Our mission is to build a democratic and inclusive youth ecosystem by enhancing youth participation, civic engagement, and intercultural understanding. Our activities are aligned with the EU Youth Strategy and aim to establish sustainable mechanisms for youth inclusion, youth-led actions, and participation in decision-making at both local and national levels. We support young people aged 16–29 in developing their skills, competencies, and leadership capacities through non-formal education, environmental activism, gender equality initiatives, and intercultural dialogue. Our main focus is to create youth-friendly communities where policies are shaped by young people, for young people. We have extensive experience with Erasmus+ projects, structured dialogue processes, and partnerships with youth organizations, youth councils, municipalities, and universities. To date, we have implemented over 60 international projects covering topics such as leadership, mental health, youth activism, digitalization, youth employability, social entrepreneurship, human rights, and cultural participation. We also advocate for youth rights, promote volunteering, and encourage active citizenship as core European values. Our vision is for all young people—regardless of background—to be included, to realize their full potential, to contribute to society, and to be active participants in shaping inclusive policies. Through this framework partnership application, we aim to expand our strategic impact, strengthen youth structures, and build stronger partnerships nationally and across Europe by supporting youth dialogue, boosting participation in democratic life, and empowering young changemakers so that youth voices are heard and respected.
