Youth4CivicEngagement (Y4CE), led by Champions Factory as an EU-wide youth network, aims to strengthen the role of youth civil society in promoting democratic participation, inclusion, and youth empowerment across Europe. The project addresses low youth engagement in democratic life, inequalities in access to quality non-formal education, and gaps in youth leadership and civic involvement. Y4CE will build the capacity of youth organisations and increase youth participation by delivering a structured multi-annual work programme across nine countries (Austria, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, North Macedonia). The project objectives are: (1) to increase youth participation in democratic and civic life; (2) to strengthen the operational quality of youth organisations; (3) to promote social inclusion and well-being through sport and youth volunteering; (4) to expand access to digital youth participation tools; and (5) to foster youth leadership and entrepreneurship. These objectives will be achieved through youth-led campaigns, structured dialogue events, training of youth workers, mobility and volunteering actions, and dissemination of results at local and EU levels. Key flagship events include the European Youth Wellbeing Forum and the International Youth Innovation Lab. Y4CE directly supports the priorities of the Erasmus+ Civil Society Cooperation Youth call by empowering young people, building sustainable cooperation among youth CSOs, and contributing to EU youth policy objectives. Outcomes and materials will remain openly available to ensure long-term impact beyond the project period.
