YTL Arena at Brabazon Hangar

The project involves transforming the 80-year-old Brabazon Hangar at Filton Airfield into one of the biggest indoor music venues in the country, known as the YTL Arena. The work includes stripping out internal elements of the hangar, demolishing external buildings, removing the roof in stages, and constructing a two-tiered amphitheatre structure. The venue aims to have a capacity increased from 17,500 to 20,000, matching the capacity of the O2 in London. The project also includes transport infrastructure improvements such as a new train station, Metrobus stops, and park and ride facilities.
