Description | In November 1996, Road King Infrastructure signed two 25-year joint venture contract for the operation and management of the Yulin City Ring Roads and the Yulin section of the Yulin-Gonguan Highway. The 27-km of ring road and 39-km highway are a combination of class I and class II highways. The roads were already operational, and started contributing revenue immediately. Road King has a 70% stake in the joint venture contracts. Road King invested HK$ 163 million (US$ 21 million) in the ring road project and HK$ 134 million (US$ 17.3 million) in the Yulin-Gongguan highway. Road King funds its projects from internally generated funds and long term debt. This includes a US$ 138 million syndicated loan and US$ 140 million 10-year fixed rate notes arranged in 1997.
