Description

The airport authority of the Turkish Directorate of State awarded to IC Group a 32-year, including a 2-year construction period and a 30-year operation period, to build and operate Zafer Airport. Zafer Regional Airport was to serve the provinces of Kutahya, Afyonkarahisar, Eskisehir and Usak and was expected to have a capacity of 2.0 million passengers per annum. The contract required IC to build a completely new airport including a Terminal of 20.000 square meters (including all the electromechanical, electro-security and mechanical systems), a runway of 3000×45 m, as well as an apron, connecting taxi way, tower, fire brigade garage building and other facilities. The construction period was estimated to be 36 months. The financing of the $71.65 million project was arranged by Unicredit with Yapi Kredi as an account bank. Both institutions contributed a $35.82 million term loan.
