Translated version of this PSD: Croatian The EBRD is considering providing a EUR 40 million senior loan to Zagrebacka Banka d.d. Zagreb in Croatia for on-lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and corporate clients. The EBRD’s financing will support the largest banking group in Croatia in enhancing access to financing for SME and corporate clients. The EBRD’s facility will in particular be channeled to the real economy via long-term investment loans, to respond to operational challenges faced by private companies and help them enhance their competitiveness in the advent of Croatia’s accession to the European Union in July 2013. Zagrebacka banka dd is the largest financial services group based in Croatia providing a full range of retail and corporate banking services for its customers. As of end-2012, Zagrebacka Banka had total assets of EUR 13.8 billion and equity of EUR 2.1 billion. UniCredit Bank Austria AG (“UCBA”), part of the UniCredit Group, owns 84.47% of Zagrebacka Banka.
