Zalagh Holding is a leading vertically-integrated player in the Moroccan poultry industry, present across the entire industry value chain. The Company has identified four (4) capital projects across selected segments that are considered highly strategic to its near-medium term development:Animal feed – capacity extension of the AIA feed mill plant in the Casablanca region (Tit Melil) by 23,000 tons/month, from its current 32,000 tons/month to 55,000 tons/month; Chick hatchery: capacity extension of Atlas Couvoirs’ chick hatchery in the Khemisset region (Tiddas) commissioned in 2012 with accompanying rearing and laying farms, doubling the capacity of 400,000 chicks/week to 800,000 chicks per week; Poult hatchery: capacity extension of Atlas Couvoir’s poult hatchery in the El Jadida region (Chtouka) with accompanying rearing and laying farms, increasing the current capacity of 49,000/week to 80,000/week; Turkey broilers: capacity increase of UMA Vollaille’s broiler farms in various locations, with the addition of 7 new farms with an instant capacity of 50,000 turkey broilers each, totaling to an instant capacity increase of 350,000 turkey broilers, in addition to the existing capacity of 700,000 turkey broilers.
