Zambia - Third Poverty Reduction Budget Support Programme (PRBS-III)

The fourth Poverty Reduction Budget Support Program (PRBS IV) aims to support and strengthen the reforms financed by the Bank's three previous budget support operations (PRBS I, II, and III). favor of Zambia. These aimed to improve the procurement system and to define a debt management strategy; to make budget execution more efficient by reducing the gap between budget estimates and actual expenditures; and implement the auditor's recommendations while improving the private sector environment. The ABRP IV program is based on two pillars: (i) improving efficiency and transparency in public financial management and increasing revenue mobilization; and (ii) strengthening access to social services.
