Description | China Zambia Petrochemical Corp. (CZPC), a special purpose vehicle created by the Industrial Development Corporation and Fujian Xiang Xin Corporation, has been awarded an investment license to develop a US $1.1 billion crude-oil refinery and integrated energy complex in Ndola, Zambia. The refinery is designed to process 3 million tonnes of crude oil per year (approximately 60,000 barrels per day) to meet Zambia's entire fuel demand and enhance its position in regional petroleum markets. The project will generate over 2,200 jobs during construction and sustain more than 2,600 jobs once operational, while stimulating downstream industries and attracting further investments in related infrastructure. |
