Description | The Government of Zambia, in partnership with Norway, has launched a call for proposals under a new Carbon Feed In Premium programme to accelerate investment in solar PV projects with battery storage. The first application window targets up to 300 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects with mandatory battery energy storage systems of at least 30 minutes duration to support grid stability and reduce reliance on coal-based generation. The programme offers fixed carbon payments for at least 10 years to improve project bankability and complements existing power purchase agreement revenues. |
