As of March 2007, the project company, Western Mindanao Power Corporation, was owned by Aboitiz Equity Ventures (20%), Toyota Tsusho Corp (25%) and Conal Holdings Corp. (55%). Conal Holdings was a 60:40 joint venture between Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. and EGCO of Thailand. Accordingly, Alsons' effective shareholding in Western Mindanao Power Corp was 33%, while EGCO had a 22% effective share in the project company. |
