Description | The total cost of the project is $ 29.46 million. The funding will be used by the French companies Qair and STOA for development and construction of Zano solar photovoltaic plant with installed total capacity of 24 MW, located in Burkina Faso. Qair and STOA provided an equity amount of $ 6.41 million. The project secured $ 23.02 million of debt financing. Debt providers are the FMO and Proparco, which provided $12.71 million and $10.31 million, respectively. In June 2020, MIGA approved a guarantee covering up to $8.47 million (EUR7.9 million) of equity/quasi-equity/shareholder loans investments into the project. The guarantees will have a term of up to 20 years, providing coverage against the risk of expropriation, transfer restriction, breach of contract, and war and civil disturbance.
