Description | The Odisha Chief Minister launched the 'Zero Accident Day' initiative aimed at preventing road accidents across the state. The program will run till June 28 in collaboration with IIT-Madras to ensure zero road accident casualties daily. The CM also launched 55 projects worth Rs 575 crore, including 11 automated vehicle testing systems, the second phase of the DEESHA project operational on an additional 485 km of highways, and laid the foundation stone for the third phase covering over 1,000 km of highways. Additionally, the CM inaugurated the second registered vehicle scrapping centre in Jajpur district, flagged off 15 premium buses connecting various cities, and inaugurated bus terminuses in Basudevpur, Dhamra, and Basta. |
