Description | The project involves the development, construction and operation of a 10MW solar PV power plant located near Zhanakorgan settlement, Kyzylorda region of southern Kazakhstan. This is the first solar plant to be developed under an auction scheme in Kazakhstan. The SPV - HEC KT LLC is owned by Hydroenergy Company JSC, a Bulgarian company. The total project cost is $ 10 million. EBRD provided a loan of up to KZT 1.7 billion ($ 4.4 million) and Green Climate Fund provided up to $ 2 million.
