Description

Due to the increasing demand for qualified skilled workers, the Zhangjiajie Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (ZIAE) in Hunan Province plans to expand its training capacity and significantly improve its quality, so that from 2015 around 7,500 (full-time) and 2,500 (part-time) apprentices can be trained. The focus of the training is on the areas of metal processing, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, information technology and tourism. The specific project includes the construction of a new campus including student accommodation and equipping it with modern teaching materials. The import share of the equipment is estimated at around 25% and is mainly made up of German deliveries. The total cost of the project is EUR 65 million. EUR 20 million of this is to be financed through an FC development loan. The financing is ODA-eligible due to the OECD/DAC grant element of 46%.
