Description | The project involves the construction of phase I of Zhejiang Shengzhou Waste-to-energy Plant located in Shengzhou City, Zhejiang province of China. The 1st phase of project has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 800 tonnes (292,000 tonnes/year). The 1st phase of plant will be equipped with two 400 tonnes/day grate furnaces and one set of 18 MW turbine power generator and is expected to generate electricity of around 120 million kWh per year. The 2nd phase will add capacity of further 400 tonnes/day. The sponsor China Everbright international Ltd signed a 30-year concession agreement under BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. The concession period includes the construction as well. The project cost is approximately CNY 570 million or $ 84.83 million.
