Description | Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics Co., Ltd. (“Zhonggu” or the “Company”) is the second largest domestic trade multimodal container transportation company in China and is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Zhonggu started as a container shipping company and gradually began to provide multimodal container transportation by supplementing railway and truck transportation after the containers arrive at the ports. It targets to provide “door-to-door” services for its customers. As of 30 June 2021, Zhonggu operated a fleet of 109 container vessels (40 owned and 69 leased). Capacity-wise, it had approximately 160,000 TEU of ship capacity and approximately 390,000 TEU of container capacity. IFC is providing a green loan package of RMB 650 million to finance the Company’s purchase of new vessels and various types of containers to further enhance its capacity. The green loan package is expected to comply with the International Green Loan Principles. |
