Zhuhai Gaolan Port New Container Terminals (Zhuhai International Container Terminal Phase II)

In April 2005, Zhuhai International Container Terminal (Gaolan) Co., Ltd., a 50-50 joint venture between Hutchison Delta Ports (a subsidiary of Hutchison Port Holdings) and Zhuhai Port Enterprises Group, began work on the second phase of the Gaolan Port terminal. The project comprises two new 50,000-ton container berths and involves total investment of about RMB 1.886 billion (US$ 230.28 million). Expected to be completed by 2007, the new berths will be capable of handling at least 800,000 TEUs a year. Length of berth is 824 meters. The joint venture would provide terminal operations and other related services for 50 years.
