Description

Description

The Governance and Institution Building Project (GISP) is an institutional support project designed to complement the ongoing CBPFEM Capacity Building and Interventions of other donors (World Bank and the Interim Program of the IMF). Through GISP, the Zimbabwean Government has clearly identified aspects of the reform that need to be corrected. This project is supported by the African Development Bank, whose intervention will focus on capacity building and transparency in the management of public finances and the economy and directly addressing the gaps at the level of the internal audit and procurement functions, the Reserve Bank and the governance of the mining sector. The total cost of the project is estimated at UA 5.2 million. It is structured around three components, namely: (a) enhancing transparency in public finance management; (b) enhancing transparency and capacity for economic management; and (c) support for project management.
