Zimbabwe - Harare Water Supply Project

The Harare Water Supply Project forms part of the progressive water supply augmentation work aimed at keeping pace with the ever increasing water demand. Project includes extensions to existing water treatment plant and clearwater pump station, construction of pumping main and acquisition of water meters and control aquipment. When implemented, it will enable the City Council to utilise the water stored by the Darwendale project dan constructed in 1976. Complete development of Darwendale project was held back by intensified fighting for independence and the subsequent suppressed water demands. The estimated cost of the project net of tax is UA 48.12 million.
