Zimbabwe - Support to the beef and leather value chain technical assistance project

The Zimbabwe’s Support to Beef and Leather Value Chain Technical Assistance Project is critical to attaining the goals of the ZimAsset and the Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (2016 - 2018). It will in particular address the country’s efforts in enhancing the agriculture productivity, growth and rural food security and promoting private sector development hence contributing to macroeconomic stability and poverty reduction. The project includes the seven following components: (i) Stakeholder Platform; component; (ii) Business Environment streamlining and reform; (iii) Capacity Building of Key Stakeholders; (iv) Market Access; (v) Access to Finance; (vi) Design of a Livestock Information and Traceability System; and (vii) Project Proposal Preparation for Critical Infrastructure Development.
