ZMINA: REBUILDING / ЗМІНА: ВІДНОВЛЕННЯ

The main objective is to support Ukrainian artists and cultural organisations (A&CO) to create and showcase works in Ukraine and in at least 12 other Creative Europe countries. ZMINA: REBUILDING will provide 1.4m€ as sub-grants to support min. 40 projects by Ukrainian A&CO, working alone, with national or non-Ukrainian partners, to create and showcase, nationally and internationally, works that facilitate, promote or mediate public discourse on the topic of “rebuilding”: social norms, communities, relationships, infrastructure. Intensive capacity-building of Ukrainian A&CO, also open to public cultural offices, will support the sub-granting scheme, together with communication and dissemination both in Ukraine and internationally. As a result, ZMINA: REBUILDING will produce three very necessary and relevant outputs: 1. By binding the theme of wartime resilience and reconstruction to the sub-granting scheme, we support the development of concrete practices contributing to wartime resilience and post-war recovery in Ukraine. 2. Beyond increasing the visibility of Ukrainian cultural and creative works, in Ukraine and abroad, project communication and dissemination will also: 1) Within Ukraine, lead to a greater public understanding of the essential and unique role that the CCS can, and must, play in social and economic (re-)development, now and in the future; 2) Beyond Ukraine, foster and develop mutual understanding and future cooperation between the European and Ukrainian CCS. 3. Intensive capacity-building will support Ukrainian A&CO to internationalise their outlook, develop international projects and work to European standards. Thus in addition to these outputs, ZMINA: REBUILDING will not only support Ukrainian A&CO, but will also facilitate future investments in the Ukrainian CCS in the long term. ZMINA: REBUILDING is a cooperation between Izolyatsia (UA), Trans-Europe Halles (SE) and Malý Berlín (SK), co-funded by the Creative Europe programme.
