ZMINA:Resilience will support the integration of the Ukrainian cultural and creative sectors (CCS) in the EU’s cultural landscape, in view of the country’s accession to the EU. To reach this objective, the project will provide funding and capacity building to support collaborations between artistic and cultural organisations (A&COs) from Ukraine and other Creative Europe countries. Funding: ZMINA:Resilience will provide 1.4m€ in sub-grants, supporting at least 49 Ukrainian A&CO to elaborate 15 international co-operation projects, to develop 15 international co-creations, and to showcase 19 co-creations internationally. In total, at least 34 co-creations will be presented in Ukraine, in the partners’ countries and further afield, engaging 14,000+ audience members around the internationally relevant theme of Resilience. Capacity-building: While necessary, funding is not sufficient. Ukrainian A&CO need to increase their capacity to work internationally, meaningfully integrating the cross-cutting issues of inclusion, sustainability and digital transition, while carrying their weight in equal and balanced partnerships. ZMINA:Resilience will deliver a diverse capacity-building programme that will increase the internationalisation capacity of over 500 cultural organisation representatives. Presented partly in English, this support will benefit Ukrainian organisations as well as A&CO from other Creative Europe countries. Successful projects, successful collaborations, strong Ukrainian participants who have learned to work internationally and to European standards – as well as communication of these results to broader audiences – will promote the integration of the Ukrainian CCS in the European cultural landscape, while preparing post-war recovery of the sector and of Ukraine.
