Zomin Water Treatment Plant in Jizzakh

The project involves the rehabilitation, upgrading, operation, and long-term maintenance of the Zomin Water Treatment Plant in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh Region under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. The plant, which has a treatment capacity of 50,000 cubic meters of water per day, will be modernized to improve its efficiency, reliability, and service quality. Under the agreement, Miahona will finance and carry out the required enhancement works and subsequently operate and maintain the facility for a concession period of 25 years. The project is valued at approximately US$105 million and is intended to strengthen the region’s water supply infrastructure, ensure sustainable delivery of treated water to local communities, and support Uzbekistan’s efforts to attract private-sector participation in the development and management of critical water infrastructure.
