Description | The project entails the construction of a waste transfer and medical waste treatment facility, located at Teshie in the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipality in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The two facilities required a total investment of $7 million. Sponsors of the project is Jospong Group. Financial close took place in 2015. The transfer facility can process up to 1,300 tonnes of waste per day and will also serve the landfill site in Tema. The medical waste facility will manage all the medical waste generated by the healthcare facilities and has a fleet of vehicles to transfer about 1,350 tonnes of waste per day.
