Bids are invited by the Long Beach Public Utilities Department ( LBPUD ) to furnish and deliver ONE ( 1 ) CNG TEN - YARD DUMP TRUCK to the Long Beach Public Utilities Department ( LBPUD ) in accordance with Specifications UD - 26 - 307 DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS a . THE REQUIREMENT Furnish and deliver to the Long Beach Public Utilities Department ( LBPUD ) ONE ( 1 ) CNG ( COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS ) TEN - YARD DUMP TRUCK complete with all features and equipment advertised as “ standard ” and specified and shall comply with all the minimum requirements in this Section . The CNG TEN - YARD DUMP TRUCK shall comply with the California Vehicle Code , California Division of Industrial Safety , OSHA , and all other applicable State and Federal laws . It is the intent of these specifications to describe ONE ( 1 ) CNG TEN - YARD DUMP TRUCK . The body , finish , and fittings shall be the latest model , shall not have been used in demonstrator or other service , and shall be factory standard in all respects not in conflict with the requirements listed in this document . All work and material furnished shall be subject to the approval of LBPUD . These specifications indicate minimum requirements for the needs of the LBPUD as concerns this equipment . However , it shall in all respects meet standards and safety requirements established for equipment of this type by the appropriate State and Federal Agencies . Evidence of compliance with requirements of these specifications shall be based on manufacturer ’ s data sheets applicable to this equipment . Such data sheets shall be included with and made a part of this quotation including technical data , where applicable , in a letter attached to the bid . LBPUD reserves the right to determine whether substitutions are within the intent of these specifications and reasonably meet the service requirements of LBPUD . Description : Current model year , CNG powered , ten - yard conventional cab dump truck ; setback front axle , left - hand drive only , with dump type body attached to the truck frame . Acceptable Chassis Make & Models : Freightliner 114 SD conventional cab or approved equal . Additional Truck Chassis Equipment :  Rear rigid mounted heavy - duty Premier 370A pintle hitch with air , braced to withstand load rating ; with minimum 1 ” D - ring for chain mounted 24 ” above ground ; activated by switch in cab .
