Remount Specifications : Remount will utilize one 2026 or newer / never titled 5500 / Dually 4x4 wheelbase , liquid spring suspension – Cummins diesel or equivalent and Automatic transmission ( with Overdrive ) with unit to be completed within 120 - 150 days upon receipt of order and receipt of Hardin County box . The unit will be paid for upon receipt of completed unit . 17 . Module Inspection : Disconnect all mechanical , electrical , and medical systems between chassis and module . Lift module from chassis and position to allow full inspection of under structure . Inspect all exposed structural framing , welds , tie down braces and gussets for cracks , warping , excessive wear , and / or corrosion . It shall be bidder ' s responsibility to make all necessary repairs to conform to accepted industry standards . New mounting hardware etc . shall be utilized at any point where failure to do so may compromise safety , durability , or function of the ambulance . 18 . Electrical Systems and Components : The Hardin County Fiscal Court requests the following electrical systems and components be included in all bid submissions : a . An OSHA approved 102dB ( or greater ) back up alarm shall be installed under the rear of the module . It shall sound whenever vehicle is placed into reverse gear . A momentary contact on / off switch shall be installed in the front console , allowing alarm to be shut off while in reverse , but automatically resetting when vehicle is shifted from reverse . This cut - off switch should not cut off the back up lights . b . New batteries with minimum 900 CCA each Group 31 ( 2 ) shall be installed in the module , along with new cables of minimum 2 - 0 gauge . Factory batteries need to remain in factory location . c . A module disconnect module should be installed . It should turn off all power to the module . It should be of adequate size to handle the power requirements of the module . This system shall in no way remove power from any Chevy chassis power . All cables / wiring shall be of adequate size to reliably handle all electrical power requirements . All ends shall be securely crimped to wires ; all wiring shall be protected by loom where exposed to elements and shall be securely fastened to avoid cutting or chafing . d . Pre - wire antenna coaxes from module to front console with an additional ( 2 ) two feet of coax . Pre - wire all radio wires . One radio head in cab and one radio head in patient compartment . Also , pre - wire for repeater and main radio control in already established location . e . A new front driver ' s console housing all existing ambulance functions shall be installed . Console can be constructed out of aluminum , metal or fiberglass ; no wood shall be used in the construction . It should reuse all switches and lighted legends , amp and voltmeters and should fit current panel . There should be space provided for radio installation . It shall harmonize with the cab interior . All wiring in console shall be neatly secured to prevent problems in the future . All wiring to switches to be long enough to allow panel to be placed on driver ’ s seat for easy access to components in console . f . New door switches shall be installed in each module exterior door . g . New Cast Products siren drivers and speakers shall be installed in the front bumper . Siren head / amplifier shall be reinstalled in new console . h . All emergency lighting shall be replaced with Whelen LED lighting without modifying current locations . i . A new headlight wig wag flasher shall be furnished and installed , wired as the existing one is . j . A new handheld spotlight , at a minimum of 400 , 000 candlepower , shall be installed in the cab in the same location as the existing one . It should be equipped with a momentary contact switch . k . Backup camera and patient compartment camera installed with display in cab . l . Stream light survivor led flashlights installed . Two installed in front cab and one in patient compartment 19 . Module Exterior : The Hardin County Fiscal Court requests the following exterior specifications be included in all bid submissions : a . All damage to the module shall be repaired appropriately and shall be painted the same paint code as the chassis ( Module shall be painted white ). All ADP not replaced shall be cleaned and brightly polished . Any changes required for fuel fill inlets shall be made using high quality body work methods . If relocation or closing of openings is required , it shall not be done by simply covering the " old " openings with ADP or other materials . b . Module shall be decaled with new Hardin County EMS scheme . Scheme will be provided upon bid acceptance .
