The City is seeking a proven public transportation dispatching software solution to replace the current system , which is sub - letted from another agency . The City wishes to have its own solution and take over such duties for itself . The City wishes the system to run the Designated Fixed route , Para - transit , and dispatch systems . The preferred solution would have a component that would run on the transportation hub ’ s computers and have a component that would run on a tablet that the bus drivers would operate to take fares . The preferred system would be a SaaS ( software as a service ) and be cloud based , however is a solution is solely on - premise , that does not disqualify them . The City intends to implement a Solution that will allow the transportation hub to run solely on it ’ s own and no longer require a third - party agency to provide dispatching services for it . The preferred Solution ’ s proposal shall include the following1 . A piece that can be ran in the transportation hub or dispatch center 2 . A mobile piece that can be ran on tablets in buses for the bus drivers 3 . Provide ample training for staff and drivers on operation of the product 4 . Provide support after the sale to assist in any technical issues that may arise
