Description
Description | Teller County Public Works is seeking material suppliers for Aggregate Base Course ( ABC ) material ( s ) for the 2026 season for use on Teller County projects . The materials requested herein are CDOT specification Class 3 ¹ , Class 5 and Class 6 . The materials must meet the specifications of the Colorado Department of Transportation ( CDOT ) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction ( 2022 edition ). The materials must meet section 703 . 04 and table 703 - 2 including AASHTO M 147 ² , LA abrasion , LL , PL and PI ¹ . In addition , the material must have an R - value of 78 or greater , or a CBR of 80 +, and must be moisture stable . Moisture stability is determined by R - value testing which shows a drop of 12 points or less in the R - value between exudation pressures of 300 psi and 100 psi . |
