Description | Provide a permanent backup generator for the Pepperwood Booster Station , and a trailer mounted backup generator that may be hooked up to various wells around the City per technical specifications . 1 . Stationary generator sized to supply 480V emergency power for operation of any two ( 2 ) of the four ( 4 ) 300 - horsepower pumps at the Pepperwood Booster Pump Station . Two pumps are served by variable frequency drives ( VFDs ) and two pumps are served by soft starters . Under emergency conditions , any combination of two pumps may operate ; however , no more than two pumps shall operate simultaneously . B . Project Conditions : 1 . Engine - generator system shall withstand the following environmental conditions without mechanical or electrical damage or degradation of performance capability : a . Elevation – 4 , 450 feet above sea level b . Temperature – air temperature between 0 ° F and 110 ° F c . Humidity – 95 % non - condensing |
