2026 Bicycle , Trails and Walkways Master Plan Update

The City wishes to create a comprehensive Bicycle , Trails and Walkways Master Plan which will : • Present and detail the existing bicycle network and pedestrian facilities ; • Identify current gaps and future opportunities to improve pedestrian and bike ridership ; • Provide connections between the Town of Moraga , City of Lafayette , and Tilden Park existing bicycle and pedestrian network and consider greater regional connections and future developments outside of the City ; • Support and advance the City ’ s efforts toward creating safe routes to school and ensuring equitable access to planned or developed facilities and amenities throughout the City ; • Provide recommendations for bicycle and pedestrian needs and facility recommendations ; • Identify and prioritize projects to enhance the existing bicycle and pedestrian network ; • Propose an implementation plan . Consultant ( s ) shall be responsible for providing planning , engineering , and support necessary efforts for the preparation and adoption of the new Bicycle , Trails and Walkways Master Plan . The scope of services is arranged into seven ( 7 ) tasks . 1 ) Project Management and Work Plan 2 ) Existing Conditions , Data Collection , and Review 3 ) Public Outreach and Meeting the Needs of the Community 4 ) Citywide Infrastructure Needs and Demands Assessment 5 ) Goals and Policy Development 6 ) Recommendations and Implementation Strategy 7 ) Draft and Final Plan
