Description | Facility operation will occur on days when temperatures are forecasted to reach 95 ° F or above , between June 15 , 2026 and September 15 , 2026 . Hours of operation are 11 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm . The weather standard will be set by the National Weather Service . Organization ( s ) selected through this Request for Proposals ( RFQ ) will be responsible for providing safe , accessible shelter facilities within the Gastonia city limits , along with staffing , intake coordination , and basic services such as cooling apparatus , water , hygiene access , and referrals to community resources . |
