Description | 1 . Payment is based on miles of road covered , NOT miles of striping completed . 2 . Single yellow stripe – 4 ” wide , 10 ’ long , 20 ’ space then repeat . Class 2 pavement marking paint shall be applied to a wet thickness of no less than 25 mils . Type L drop - on glass beads shall be applied at a minimum application rate of 15lbs . per 100 sqft of surface area of pavement marking material . 3 . Paint to be standard acrylic waterborne pavement marking paint that conforms to section 1048 . 20 . 1 . 2 of MO Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 4 . All pavement marking shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the MUTCD and the FHWA standard highway signs at the time of bid opening . 5 . All pavement markings shall be in uniform in appearance with crisp , well - defined edges and shall be uniform in width and thickness . Surface distribution of beads shall be uniform . |
