The City of Waterville is seeking proposals for On Call Task Order services for small projects for the 2026 construction season . The contract will be for hourly equipment , material , and labor for miscellaneous small projects that typically will run from 1 to 5 days in duration . This contract will be for services used to assist the Waterville Public Works for current projects under construction , future projects requiring additional equipment , material , or manpower , or for stand alone projects that are outside the schedule ofthe Waterville Public Works . The intent of this RFP is to award one or more contractors with a time and material contract for construction services for the 2026 season . In general , the contractor will be given several weeks ' notice of services needed . There may be occasional emergency work . The first contractor selected will be selected based on prices for labor , equipment , and materials needed for the work required . If the first selected contractor is not available for the time frame needed , the second selected contractor will be notified , etc . Contractors unavailable due to scheduling conflicts will not be penalized and will be put back in the pool for the next selected project . Projects will generally be earthwork related and will primarily be culvert repairs and replacements , drainage work , road repairs , and sidewalk repairs and reconstruction . Work will be scheduled for a minimum of 8 continuous hours . Mobilization to the site will not be paid for , however equipment movement from site to site and emergency work will be paid for as described further in this RFP . There will be no overtime rates .
