Description | Maintain and update Tree Inventory . • Assisting the Department of Public Works with inspecting and assessing trees pursuant to accepted arboricultural standards . • Assist DPW and Planning & Development in developing Tree Maintenance Policies . • Coordinate Tree Replacement contracts : o Identify potential planting locations . o Verify planting request from property owners . o Write specifications for trees to be planted . o Inspect trees under guarantee ; provide feedback to the contractor on proper installation and maintenance . • Review of landscaping plans for Planning and Zoning Boards as needed . • Provide recommendations on how best to resolve sidewalk / tree issues . • Assist in updating and maintaining the Borough ’ s Community Forestry Management Plan pursuant to DEP standards . • Identify and report public hazards created by trees , shrubbery , vegetation or wildlife . • Tree - related projects as needed . |
