Description | The Work shall include all labor and equipment necessary to repair , replace , or relocate watermain , gate valves , hydrants , or other potable water distribution components . The Work shall include , but not limited to , excavation ; removal and disposal of old watermain , gate valve , and / or hydrant ; installation of new watermain , gate valve , and / or hydrant ; and backfill and compact the excavated trench . The City shall furnish new watermain , gate valve , hydrant , parts , bolts , trucking , and backfill material . Newly installed bolts shall be sprayed with an approved automobile undercoating agent after installation and wrap entire valve assembly in plastic . All bolts on the gate valve shall be replaced , including the bolts that connect the gate valve to the existing pipe material . |
