BACKGROUND : Beaches and Harbors is seeking comprehensive services for a multi - component project , including dock refurbishment , repairing kayak / canoe launching platforms , and replacing the marine - grade outdoor carpet . SCOPE / OBJECTIVES : • Replace marine grade carpeting . • Repairs kayak and canoe launch platforms . • Restore floating dock and components ( e . g . cleats , rub rails , hardware , etc .). • Provide before - and - after photos , project reports , and a project timeline . • Transport of all required materials and the daily removal and disposal of project - related waste . TASKS : The selected bidder will be required to : Daily Clean - up and Duties • Secure site ( tools and equipment ) and clean - up site at the end of the day when the project is in progress and upon completion of the project . • Secure work site and staging area , including the dock and parking stalls being used during the project with chain - link fence and signage . • Include freight to jobsite . • Remove and replace existing marine - grade carpeting on floating dock . * Carpeting material must be UV rated and mold / mildew resistant . * Process includes necessary removal and subsequent reinstallation of associated components and hardware , including the UHMW surface material and carpet transition strips . * Must remove old adhesive residue prior to installing new carpeting . * Must utilize marine rated , extreme outdoor urethane adhesive when installing new carpet . * Carpeting must be flushed behind boards / panels – similar to existing . • Set up temporary spacer system to manage the controlled separation of the interconnected docks to ensure secure and unimpeded access for all necessary work . * Bidder is to establish and implement system . * System must incorporate integration of docks after work is performed .
