The scope of work shall INCLUDE , but not be limited to , furnishing and installing the following : 1 . All materials , labor , equipment , samples , shop drawings , engineering , layout , supplies , plant , tools , contributions , insurance , taxes , compliance with all agencies ( City , County , State , and Federal as may be required ) all other services and facilities , and other things necessary for the performance of the work as shown , detailed , and / or implied by the Contract Documents and as defined herein . 2 . Any selective demolition permits required by the City of Detroit shall be the responsibility of this contractor . 3 . All selective demolition and removal of designated portions of the building or structure . 4 . Demolition of Mechanical , Electrical and Plumbing systems to be included . 5 . Protection of all existing elements and systems designated to remain . 6 . Maintain utilities and fire - protection systems during demolition . 7 . Provide temporary weather protection and temporary enclosure as needed including protection from water infiltration . 8 . Design and maintain shoring / bracing . Strengthen supports as required . 9 . Minimize disruption to adjacent walkways , streets , occupied areas . 10 . Remove flooring and adhesive per RFCI Work Practices . 11 . Prepare remaining substrates to receive new finishes per finish schedule and manufacturer installation requirements . 12 . Dispose of materials at EPA ‑ approved landfill . Do not allow accumulation of debris . 13 . Clean adjacent surfaces , structures , and improvements of dust , debris , and residue .
