The project scope includes , but is not limited to : Delegated engineering , including signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations for all items exposed to wind ; field engineer solutions when concealed conditions deviate from or are prohibitive to performing the work as shown in the drawings ; testing and engineering as shown in the drawings and specifications ; selectively sawcut and remove concrete to enlarge openings at primary and secondary scupper locations and create new secondary scupper openings as shown ; remove and replace existing copings , expansion joints , scuppers , conductor heads , downspouts and counter flashings with new as shown ; provide joint sealants ; perform miscellaneous painting ; disconnect , store and reconnect roof equipment as required to perform the work ; temporarily remove lightning protection system recording current condition , re - certify , and re - install , making any necessary repairs or component replacements ; perform camera inspection of the horizontal underground portion of all downspout locations and jet to the nearest catch basin and vacuum debris ; perform miscellaneoustree pruning . Scope of work listed is general in nature . Refer to drawings and specifications for detailed scope information . There is limited as - built information available and portions of what has been observed in the field deviates from the as - built information . For any / all areas where the plans or specifications are silent , conflict , or lack information , the contractor shall base his cost on the more expensive materials and / or methods of completing the work . Metal roofs and walkway covers are not included in the scope of work . ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION : BALANCE OF LINE : The “ balance of line ” shall include products and services that are not requested in this . Invitation to Bid , but are within the scope of products and services available from the awardee ( s ). The School District reserves the right to add these products and services to the awarded items . Additions shall be submitted as they occur . Deletions and discontinued items shall be reported by bid awarded vendor as they occur . Refer to Additional Information Document . All materials should be based on the School District Specifications , which includes an approved equal . Any existing lightning protection equipment shall be removed and reinstalled . The reinstalled lightning protection system shall be re - certified in accordance with NFPA 780 , UL 96A , and Design and Material Standards Section 26 41 00 . Provide UL Master Label to the owner upon completion . Provide ( Furnish and Install ) extensions / increases , including but not limited to cabling , air terminals , down conductors , ground rods , surge protective devices at switchgear , etc . to the existing system for the re - installed system to work as a complete , operational system upon completion of the work . Security signage is not included in this bid , and shall not be included in the pricing . The Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement , including but not limited to : all surfaces , building elements , fencing , utilities , onsite and offsite elements , sidewalks , grasses , plantings , irrigation , and hardscape disturbed by and / or damaged by construction activities . If required , the Contractor will remove and / or modify chain link fencing , including adding gate ( s ), as needed for site access . Openings in the fence shall be secured at the end of each workday . Fencing is to be restored to equal or better condition upon completion of the work . All work during the summer can be completed during the day or night per the SPA / School approval . The schedule will still have to be worked out with the school as summer activities will be happening on - site . During the school year , work can be performed after the school day is completed but the schedule will have to be coordinated with school staff as there are activities at night . Holidays and weekends can be day or night work however , the Contractor will still need to coordinate with school staff & SPA as activities are sometimes scheduled during these times . All work shall be performed in accordance with the Florida Building Code 2023 , Florida Building Code 2023 8th ed , District Master Specifications , 2023 , and the ANSI / AWWA C210 ‐ 84 .
