NO SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED TO CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES. PROCUREMENT TITLE: DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging INTENT TO AWARD: The Department of Veterans Affairs (NCO 19), 6162 S. Willow Drive, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, intends to award one (1) purchase order on a sole source basis, to Medi-Physics, Inc, for DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging. BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION: The Salt Lake City Healthcare System (SLCHCS) located at 500 Foothill Blvd Salt Lake City, UT 84148 is currently sourcing generic Ioflupane I-123 from the local Cardinal Health radiopharmacy, under contract #36C25922D0042, order #36C25926N0073. Recent production issues of the generic product have caused delays with patient scheduling and imaging. The VASLCHCS is seeking to establish a contract with Medi-Physics, Inc. for the acquisition of DaTscan I-123 to circumvent production issues, ensure timely completion of nuclear medicine orders indicated for Ioflupane I-123. NAICS: 325412 Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing, 1,300 employees PSC: 6505 Drugs and Biologicals AUTHORITY: This procurement will be issued under the authority of RFO Part 8 Required Sources of Supplies and Services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. INTERESTED PARTIES: THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement as described in the attached Salient Characteristics no later than 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, Friday, July 3rd, 2026. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
