Description | Please note : This is a Sole Source Notification . We are requesting Sole Source purchasing for preventative maintenance and generator replacement of the Thermo Fisher Scientific iCAP 6000 Series ( Model : iCAP6300 Duo ). The current iCAP is over 12 years old ( purchased in 2013 ) and is currently inoperable . This machine must function properly so that the MCS & T Chemical Laboratory can perform required chemical analysis on samples . The iCAP also serves as back - up testing equipment for our XRF machine . The machine requires a certified Thermo Electron North America LLC Field Service Engineer to service the Thermo Fisher Scientific iCAP , which is why we are requesting a Sole Source award . |
