Academic Internship Practicum

 Consortium Members ( Colleges / Universities ) o Identify and nominate eligible students for internship and practicum education placement . o Provide internship or practicum education placement requirements integrated into academic curricula o Collaborate with the Department of Social Services to define learning outcomes and assessment metrics . o The University agrees to complete Criminal Background Disclosure , as required by Executive Order No . 1 - 2008 o The University must ensure that participants in the program working with families and / or children complete and provide DSS with the Statewide Central Register ( SCR ).  Department of Social Services o Identify the availability of viable internship and practicum education placements within WCDSS for students enrolled in consortium institutions o Provide supervised field placement opportunities in various social service programs ( priority will be given to students employed by the Department ) o Collaborate with the institution to provide a SIFI , if available o Engage in regular feedback sessions with academic partners to evaluate and refine the program . o Provide a qualified subject matter supervisor in agreement with the school  Social Work candidates will be supervised by a SIFI or , where SIFI certification is not required , by a supervisor who meets the requirements of the respective school of social work .
