Description
Description | This notice provides information on the current status of ESTJP9360PH1T2 - Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) – Alternate Energy Solution (AES) (the Project), at Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt (HEH) in Exmouth, Western Australia, and Defence’s current intention in relation to the Project. This Notice is issued for the purpose of informing industry that Defence will be releasing an approach to market for the provision of a Managing Contractor through a two-stage procurement process. Capital Facilities and Infrastructure (CFI) branch is responsible for developing and delivering capital facilities and infrastructure projects across the Defence estate. This includes one project with an approved or estimated capital value of $80,000,000-$100,000,000 million. The Project is a Commonwealth funded facility project focused on delivering an Alternate Energy Solution (AES) for DARC. The Project intends to deliver an AES to supplement the power otherwise generated by the existing DARC diesel power station. The system has been specified to achieve no less than a 43% renewable energy mix, with opportunities for increased renewable energy mix to be explored through the design development process. The AES is expected to take the form of a solar array and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) system. |
